Looking above ground won't show you anything important. Head to an uncharted island west of Shark Tooth KeyTeri's clues lead you to one of the game's many islands not named on the map. This time it's Teri at Dagger Tooth's tavern (map grid section Q8) who will speak of the infamous drunkard, and she again points you toward your next journal entry. Optional: Head to Dagger Tooth Outpost and speak to the bartender, TeriMerrick has built up quite a reputation for himself among the many T-named barkeeps of Sea of Thieves. Head there and find his mast in the sand, climb the ladder and read his next journal entry, which speaks of another bartender. Between that is map grid section L14, better known to eagle-eyed players in the past few weeks as the site of the Killer Whale wreck, Merrick's long-lost ship.

Head to the wreck of the Killer WhaleTina couldn't quite get the names right but one may deduce "Idiot Island" and "Double Trees" are actually Fool's Lagoon and Twin Groves. Players will try to finish what Merrick started. Note that speaking to Tina is not mandatory to complete the campaign and now that you're reading this, you could very well skip this step if you want to. Optional: Head to Golden Sands Outpost and speak to the barkeeper, TinaTina is the one he writes about in those first journals and she's still working at the tavern (E12 on your map), so go visit her if you wish to soak in more of the storyline before she points you toward your next destination. They speak of his misadventures at sea, again alluding to your eventual endgame with the megalodon, and about how he's going to have a drink with one of his favorite bartenders, whom he believes he can charm. There you'll find his first journal with two entries to be read. Head to the center of the Shark Bait Cove, where some wooden planks form a small bridge out to the shark statue. However this does, most importantly, initiate the quest to find his three journals scattered across the map.įind Merrick's first journal in the center of Shark Bait CoveThe first one is quite easy and Merrick pretty much tells you exactly where it is. He'll have new dialogue options, but mostly still teases you about his adventures with a mysterious beast. On your map, it'll be in section J24 on the grid. Head to Shark Bait Cove and speak to MerrickMerrick remains where he was over the past few days, on the southwest shore of Shark Bait Cove. He'll tell you about Merrick, whom you may have met in the days leading up to this content drop. There's now a new NPC there, sitting half-drunk (okay, very drunk) at a table. Speak to the Bilge Rat crew member in any tavernWhen you spawn into a game, you are placed in a tavern first. Check back each month to see what new content has been added. The whole campaign will take you about 2-3 hours, maybe more if you run into trouble against the beast at sea. With five major expansions and almost a year’s worth of monthly updates, Sea of Thieves is a service-based game that is continually growing and evolving. On your journey to become a Pirate Legend you’ll amass loot, build a reputation and define a unique personal style with your hard-earned rewards.
